Forming Taskboard can
be done with cold water or with steam.
Just soak in cold
water for 5 minutes and , bend over a shape or by hand and let dry
over-night, Taskboard will be rigid in its new shape once dry.
Forming
with steam is best for immediate results since Taskboard will retain
its new shape seconds after being removed from the steam source and
will be rigid in its new shape.
Working with steam should be done
slowly, with great care and only by responsible
adults. One should bend a larger piece than
needed to avoid burns and for better control.
Jigs and templates significantly help to set the desired shape just
before cooling, but forming itself should be done in the steam source
The most common source of steam can be found in Walgreen’s in the form
of an electric kettle, like this one at Kmart.
Taskboard has a flex direction and forming it in this direction enables
tighter bends and curves. To find out the flex direction use a square
piece and see which direction is Taskboard flexes more easily.
