Manufactured under the strict standards defined at the UN convention on biodiversity: produced from wood harvested from managed forestry, replenishing the forest while protecting the local biosphere. It is a lightweight material - easy to cut, sand, glue and paint. Best of all, it is easy to form into complex 3D curvilinear shapes due to its unique fiber stratification. Rigid while its dry, yet when sheets 3/32" or thinner are dampened; they become pliable and can be easily shaped. Taskboard is available in basswood-tone and white. Basswood-tone has a more distinct texture and White is better for forming 3D curvilinear shapes and tighter curves. Both are used for laser cutting architectural models; Unlike wood, Taskboard has no grain and its low density allows fast and easy cuts even to small and intricate shapes, without any splitting. Architects prefer Taskboard when laser cutting since edge-burn is very light and can be sanded off. Also, smoke marks are minimal with the right CNC settings.
